Currently there are 29 Active Deacons doing there best for the Lord and Farley Street. And to update....we have selected 5 men to join us! The process consisted of nominations from the Deacons followed by interviews of each candidate. Those willing to continue will be assigned a mentor and work with the Deacons for the next year and will then be ordained a Deacon. About those pics...well you probably know how hard it is to even try to get a bunch of Deacons to come together to take a group picture!! So with that in mind we will be presenting a pic here and a pic there....look for a new one every week or so...until we get em all!

 

You can also check back for who's Deacon of the Week. This is the guy you need to talk with when you have a problem. We may not be able to solve your problem, but we can help. Remember we are here to serve! 

1st Timothy 3:8 thru thirteen gives us guidence in how a Deacon is chosen and what is expected of him. If you read the ACTS you will see why Deacons were needed in the beginning of the Church.  Check back later to learn more what the scriptures have to say about Deacons.
