CHILDREN ARE IMPORTANT TO FARLEY STREET BAPTIST CHURCH. WE SEEK TO DEVELOP IN THEM A LOVE FOR GOD, HIS WORD AND HIS CHURCH, ALONG WITH A DESIRE TO REACH OUT TO OTHERS.

AWANA meets every Wednesday from 6:30 PM-8:00 PM, beginning again with our "KICK-OFF" on September 8, 2010. Mrs. Lynda Marsh is our new AWANA commander and is, at the present time, planning and organizing a great new year for AWANA. Please watch in the church bulletin, on the website and in "YOUR FRIEND" newsletter for more information on our "KICK-OFF"! AWANA means Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. Parents, please encourage your children to learn their verses. When children truly MEMORIZE the Word of God and consider it an important and worthwhile exercise, then they will be more likely to INTERNALIZE the truths presented in the Word of God.

BMMI shoeboxes for children in Armenia and El Salvador was a success. Thanks for your help with this important missions project. We collected 164 shoeboxes and paid $5 apiece for the shipping and handling. We appreciate very much all who contributed boxes of items or money for shipping and handling. These children who recieve the boxes will be blessed by you, and the Lord will bless you in return.
Coming in September-P.O.W. (Preteens on Wednesdays) - Wednesday September 8 from 6:30PM-8:00PM (for 5th and 6th grade students.)
Children’s Choirs are changing to Wednesday afternoons from 5:45 PM-6:30 PM. The children may go directly from Children's Choir into the AWANA program each Wednesday.
Our two children's musical groups are
Little Praisers-Ages 3-Kinder.
EXPRESSWAY-Grades 1-6
(Includes handbells, dramatics, skits, songs.)
Begins on September 15th.

GROWING HEARTS MOTHER'S DAY OUT Fall enrollment is underway. For more information , see Becky Smith at Farley Street Baptist Church. We would like to add to our playground equipment. If you would like to contribute to this fund, after your tithe, mark an envelope "playground" and turn in your offering at any time.
